In the Picture I am 13 weeks.....
Wow, It’s been way to long since my last blog. It’s been a crazy the past few months. Full of Christmas and family and New Years and Friends. Great memories we made!
I remember being 16 years old and asking God to write my life story for me, I can't expect it to happen exactly as I would want it to. Because God's ways are not our own. His are so much more beautiful. I gave God the pen to my life and then now I get frustrated because I don't think that God is doing anything when in truth, He is moving in the most graceful, beautiful way possible.
I can’t believe all God has given me! I have an amazing Husband who honestly treats me like a princess. He wakes up daily and says “Good Morning Beautiful” when I really look like crap. I have an amazing family and I have a child that is right now growing inside of me and God’s hands are forming that little being. I am full of excitement and a ton of paranoia. I am always talking to God and telling him how I am so scared that I am going to hurt my child in some way. Taking to hot of baths, working out too hard, not sitting and rest as much as I should, Sleeping on my back at night, am I going to be a good mother and still be a good wife to Joshua?? I worry so much! Today I had to stop talking and remember to sit and listen to His whisper, His voice. I am remembering to turn off the computer and just sit with Him. I am remembering to embrace the voice in my head and know that the Lord is speaking to me.
I read a friends blog that said:
God doesn't forget to talk to us.
We forget to listen.
I forget to listen.
And it’s soo true! It is so easy to hear that voice but choose WHEN to listen and WHEN to ignore. I have to believe in this time of my pregnancy that the Lords hand is upon me, Joshua and my child. That he gives and he takes away and all for his glory.
But I have to remember that God wants, yes wants, to bless me, my husband, my baby. I don't deserve it. I never will. But I can show my gratitude with a lifestyle that pleases him. I have and will fail, Yes, But Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God”. And I have to remember that Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For it is by GRACE that I have been saved through FAITH! Not from ourselves. It is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can Boast” It’s a gift. Freely Given! His salvation and love and blessing are freely given.
God is writing my life story. And He is writing some things that I definitely don't feel that I deserve. Yet I see His fingerprints are on them. My future is in the safest hands in the universe. I just have to remember to trust him. How lucky am I that the creator of all things would take time, not just a spare second, but all the time in the world, to write my life story. I am so grateful. I pray that my life is a living example to all who see me and to my unborn child. I choose to trust in God despite all my fears during this pregnancy. I remember reading someone's blog saying “I just have to remember to listen to the Lord and everything will turn out beautifully. Notice I didn't say easy or perfect, but beautifully. Sometimes beautifully chaotic or beautifully painful or beautifully poetic. But always beautifully.”
I choose to Love, Honor, and trust my God......
